About

Leader Juanita Doplemore

Experienced Leadership. A Commitment to Students. Service with Purpose.

Juanita Doplemore has built her record around a simple principle: public service should produce meaningful results for the people it is intended to serve.

As Trustee for Area 4 of the Compton Community College District, Juanita has worked to strengthen Compton College as an accessible, affordable, and forward-looking institution where students can prepare for careers, transfer to four-year universities, develop new skills, and create greater economic opportunity for themselves and their families.

Her approach to leadership is grounded in service, discipline, accountability, and a deep respect for community. She understands that a community college is more than a place where students earn degrees. It is an economic and educational resource that should connect residents to opportunity at every stage of life.

Juanita has supported the continued modernization of the College, expansion of career and technical education, increased access to dual enrollment, and investments that strengthen the overall student experience. She is also committed to addressing emerging challenges facing today’s students, including housing insecurity, affordability, campus safety, and the need for clearer pathways from education to employment.

For Juanita, representing Area 4 also means ensuring that the communities she serves have a meaningful connection to the College. She is committed to strengthening outreach and educational opportunities for students and families throughout the city of Paramount, parts of Bellflower, North Long Beach and Lakewood and across the Compton Community College District.

Juanita believes experience matters, but experience must be accompanied by vision.

Her work is not finished.

She is seeking another term to continue building a stronger Compton College, expand opportunities for students, and ensure that the District remains responsive to the communities it was created to serve.
